Big Blog #1: Early Country

  Early Country Country music began from Appalachian.  It began in the early 1900's.  In 1920, the first country genre record was made. Country music was one of the first genres to make it to the top of the modern American popular music. If you haven't ever listened to country music, it all revolves around heartbreak and love.  Jimmie Rodgers , The Father of Country Music , had instant success.  His first record hits were recorded between 1927 and 1933.  Rodgers later died from tuberculosis. In 1961, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. He used a famous technique called yodeling.  The Grand Ole Opry was a very popular program for live music, located in Nashville, Tennessee. At this time, Western music came into play. This insisted of lovesick cowboys and gun-fighting outlaws.  This is my favorite song by artist Willie Nelson. This song has become one of his signature songs.  Di...
