My Musical Culture!

Hello, everyone! My name is Mackenzie Weatherford. I am from Darlington, South Carolina. I use music to calm me down or to cope with different events. I am also an athlete, so I use music for a lot of things especially during workouts. I use music to focus and maintain focused.

So, here is a step into my musical culture,

I chose this song, because I used to be in a really dark place in life. This song brought me out of this darkness into the light. I heard this song in church one Sunday and it stuck with me. It challenged me to turn my life around and I did that. I have learned to live with the struggles of life through this song.

This is my Go-To song. I chose this song, because it soothes me. I personally love the artist himself and nothing will ever change that. If I am ever doing schoolwork or just need some downtime, I find myself listening to this. This choice of song is always my first.
This song just does not hit the spot with me. I used to have a boyfriend who was in the marines and this song was played multiple times over the phone. I do not agree with the song at all, because I felt as though he was telling me this was how we were going to end. Sadly, after hearing this song and being told this information we did not last very long.

  1. Morgan Wallen is a great singer, and I totally agree with everything you said! Whenever my sister and I are doing schoolwork, he is the first singer we go to!

  2. I have never heard the song “Rescue” by Lauren Daigle before, but i’m so glad I listened to it. It is a beautiful song that I could listen to for hours. There's so much impact in her voice that you can't help but feel ever emotion behind the song.

  3. It's so cool to find out that we have something in common! I love Lauren Daigle SO much! Her music has helped me through a lot, just as it's helped you. I also agree with your opinion of the song Whiskey Lullaby, it's very emotional.
