The Grand Ole Opry was a very popular program for live music, located in Nashville, Tennessee. At this time, Western music came into play. This insisted of lovesick cowboys and gun-fighting outlaws.

I really enjoyed reading your blog! I have always loved older country but I don't listen to it as often as I used to. I never knew that country got its start in the early 1900's. It's interesting to see how country has changed from Jimmie Rodgers' yodeling vocal style to what country is today. Also, I love Willie Nelson!!
